It had been a whole week since I had ment my supposed father. Life was normal again after that.
Mom still worked her butt off, making me wonder how she only ran on a few hours of sleep and still have time
to deal with the house and stuff.
Obake whined, and nudged against my leg from my spot at the kitchen table. I was dinner alone, again.
If it wasn't for the dogs, I don't think I would have an company at all.
People tend to avoid me in school. Even my team-mates from Ice Hocky tend to avoid me. I don't know why,
its not like I've ever done anything wrong. But then again, its probaly the way I dress, and the way I'm able to tell of
older kids without laying a punch. The power of fear works like that.
Obake whined again, beggint to be fed, so I stood up with a sigh and filled his bowl, as well as Chance's.
I pet him half heartedly.
"Hey, boy, what do you do when your all alone? And can't talk to someone?" I asked him, stroking his big ears.
Obake stopped eating for a second and looked at me, then grinned.
He gave me a look like "Well, go find someone to talk to" and began eating again.
I stood up and headed back up to my room.
Stereo blasting words of love and hate again, I pulled out a photo album from under my bed.
It was black, and dusty with age. It had been years since I looked at this.
The pages where faded, yet the pictures on them where in good condition.
The first one showed my Mom as a teenager, standing next to Danny with a bat on her shoulder, and a dog at her feet.
The bat, I had learned, was Vis. The dog-none other than Obake. Danny was the first friend she ever ment at Casper high,
and the first one to learn of her powers. The two of them had teamed up eventualy, along with Vis, and fought off ghosts and stuff.
The next few pages where my own memories. Photos of me at school, my solitary Birthdays, christma mornings.
I had never gone farther than the first twenty pages. I normaly ended up putting it away-to upset to continue.
But today I couldn't help but go farther.
I blinked.
Pencil drawings lined the following pages. Some with the copyright of 'ReD' on it, the others 'Ren'.
They depectited wolves and people, each very sketchy. It was the last piece that i blinked at.
It was true. It had to be.
Drawn and shaded lightly in pencil, stood my mother in wolf form.
Her held was held high, and her mouth was open to reveal her pointed teeth.
Next to her, however, stood the wolf I recognized as Dark.
The two where covered in each others blood, from what I could tell. Dark didn't look to happy about the drawing,
nor did he in the photo taped next to it, depecting the same thing.
I blinked. This was all to weird. Infact, it couldn't be happening.
I put the album away, carefully. I had some buisiness to attend to.
Ignoring the rain that fell outside, I lept from my window and ran as fast as I could to Danny's.

"DANNY! DANNNY!" I called, through the roar of thunder as I pounded on his door.
A man in his late twentys stood, a man I knew as Danny.
"Ash, whats up?" he asked, obviously surprised.
"I...I need to go into the ghost zone." I replied.
Danny blinked.
"Why?"
"No time to explain. I need to go." I anwered.
Danny recognized the urgency in my voice. I was to freaked out to hide my emotions.

Minutes later, I floated through the greenish light of the ghost zone, heading twords Clockworks famed place.
"Clockwork, I need to see my mom, in the past, as a kid." I said, not even saying hello.
The ghost blinked, knowledge showing deep in his eyes.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"I just want to see."

I watched the scene before me.
Rain poured over AmityPark much like today.
An older-looking house was giving off a welcoming and warming glow.
My mom was having a party? A victory party?
She had always told me she wasn't a pretty girl, and I was surprised she would say so.
She was taller then her friends, with strait brown hair and deep blue eyes. She had a nice voice,
accustomed to being soft, but obviously being stressed. She was singing.
A raven-haired girl stood next to her, in bright fire-patterned clothing. Her ears where dog-like, as was her tail.
A small creature stood next to her.
"Dance Dance...we're fallling apart to half time..." my mom sang, holding the mike close to her.
It was acualy pretty good. A bit high, considering she was a girl, but pretty good. I continued watching.
She took a bow, staggering onto the couch, laughing as she did so.
".....Amber.....pass me a soda please.." she said, inbewteen her laughter. The dog-eared girl did so hesitantly.
Mom guzzled the bottle of Cream.
The next images where blurred and vacant, going through moms memories. There was a split seconded of
a red and black haired guy, being pounced on by the people there in a dog pile...
The last few images where of holding a knife to her wrist, but putting it down and running far away....

I lay on my bed again, returned from the ghost-zone.
My mom was really like that? She almost died because she was to afraid to explain?
I shuddered. I didn't like to think of mom being gone. She was like the only one I had.
I petted Chance, who lay next to me, asleep. I closed my eyes, and I too, fell asleep.
         After all, I don't excist, do I?

Do I? I don't know. Its all up to them, I guess.  I lay there until i heard mom come up the stairs,
yawning a little. Her feet sounded heavy on the floor, as if she only did this because she had no choice.
She opened my door, just a little.
"Ash, are you awake?" she said, quietly incase I wasn't.
"Yeah."
She came in and sat down next to me. Chance whined and rolled once in his sleep.
"Theres something I'v been meaning to tell you...the truth, I mean." she said.
"You will never meet your father. I can't face him about it. He dosn't need to know, to remember
that night. It would only upset him, and you." she said, softly.
"I don't want to remmeber him ither. Remembering him makes me remember what fun I used to have
with my friends, when I was able to talk around them. Besides Vis, Danny, and Davyn, I havn't been able to see anyone else.
They all think I'm dead... Well, I think its time we decide for ourselves." Mom said.
"Tomarrow, I'm off from work. What do you say we go prove that we're not dead?" she asked,
and I knew what she ment.
she was giving me a chance.
A chance to make my name.
"You mean it?"
"yes."
Isn't really much to do.
Since none of this will ever happen, I'm basicly just wrighting stuff down.
*yawns* I'm tired, so forgive the sleepy-ness and mopey-ness of this.
Enjoy the randomness.
It basicly is Ash trying to find out more about Ren.
He dosn't know much at all.

Isn't really a sequal,
'Never Happening' was suppose to be a one-shot thing.

More or less, I'm probaly only gonna do one more story with Ash.
